Business & Pleasure in The City.

March 23, 2015

By business I mean job hunting and by pleasure I mean shopping…and my boyfriend happens to live there. BUT THE SHOPPING. I spent the past weekend in San Francisco handling some personal biz and Ry told me to pleaseeee “pack light”. Is there such a thing? What does that even mean? And does he not know that every girl needs her options? After trying to “pack light” aka trying to get my suitcase to zip, he said the words every girl wants to hear, “or just go shopping while you’re here”. I didn’t think we would have time for shopping because of plans that had already been set. While he finished up at work I headed to the mall…well, Nordstrom; I could live there, forever.

I walked up the spiral stairs to heaven, at first everything seemed summer-y and I’m used to San Diego weather, 77 degrees daily baby. Therefore, the tanks on the mannequins weren’t going to cut it (although I did bring crop tops because ry told me it would be semi warm. But I didn’t have a jacket, we were headed to Alcatraz, on Friday, for the night trail with friends…DEFF needed one).

I like to search and dig deep, find the gems hidden beneath everything — not the front display pieces everyone has.

Check out these two pieces that are to die forrr. (And surprisingly not black. ok if I’m going to be honest, I asked if they had the jacket in black and they did but I liked the creme better. Insanely weird, I know.)

This stylish and comfortable jacket by BLANKNYC can be found here. The back is almost a leather feel that also lines the sleeves, and man it gives it that extra uniqueness. I love the loose look the jacket gives, you would think it has a heavy feel but it’s so light! The zipper goes up along the side of the jacket so when you zip it, it almost looks like a scarf. I loved it so much I didn’t want to take it off.

The crop top is from TopShop, another one of my faves, and can be found here.

All accessories are from H&M.

Ponytails were obvs my thing this weekend — that wind!!

The kimono above was the second piece of greatness I happened to pass by and I had to glance twice. It was the last one, my size, my style, and in every way perfect for me so I made my decision to buy it! It’s extremely light and can be worn casually or dressed up for cocktails on a Friday night. The beautifully embroidered flowers along the sides are just perfect. The kimono from ASTR can be found now at Nordstrom Rack for half the price!!

Watch and gold bracelet are from Nordstrom BP.

Hope you guys love!
