Wow last week was the first of summer! It was also a week that I was dreadfully SICK.

This post is way overdue and I apologize…I was sneezing and blowing my nose 24/7  it was awful.

Before my week in hell I was in San Diego visiting along with my girlfriend.  Summer there was about 88 degrees. It felt perfectttt.

SD is just an amazing city and I always feel nostalgic when I go back. Sometimes I wish I still lived there. I’ll move back one day, when I decide to settle down after living in a one or few more places other than San Francisco.

Transitioning back to summer in San Francisco, we’re a bit lucky here. Summer can mean hot, warm, windy, chilly…really anything depending on the day and what part of the city you’re in.

You can totally get away with wearing dark colors on a summer day here. And that’s exactly what I did.

I’m also cold 24 hours a day soo the more I’m covered up the better!

About the look:

The nice thing about my long sleeve is that it’s extremely loose. So loose that I had to tuck it into my pocket to give it a more structured look. It’s so flowy that when the wind hit me, my shirt would blow up and I seriously looked like a balloon (another reason I decided to tuck it in on the side). LOL

My jeans are from AllSaints and pointed booties from Marc Jacobs. (similar)

Idk about you (or how big your boobs are) but bra’s just don’t work for me anymore, srsly my closet is only filled with bralettes now.  They’re the chicest, most comfortable thing on the planet!!

People always tend to wear shorts and tank tops during summer, and don’t get me wrong I do too, but it’s totally possible and not as dreadful as it may seem to wear a bit more clothing. I actually find that with more layers (not too many) I feel cooler because the sun is being blocked by my thin layer of clothing.

I threw my hair up because that’s actually what makes me the hottest…ugh hair down on a HOT day. No bueno.

Basically…wear what you please and make it work.

Add a nice accessory and you’re all set to go.

And please please please, don’t forget the sunscreen!

Hands, face, chest, neck…everywhere!

Sunscreen QUEEN.
